this is one of the numerous series of shots i've done in a cemetery near my old house. i have always been drawn to this place, seeing those old sculptures and hommages, following from a distance all the happenings and knowing my mother is buried there.

to me, cemeteries in general aren't only an aesthetics choice for photography, but also a very personal one. as repetitive as it sounds, i do think the rituals it serves to are very enriching, so filled with the history of feeling that they are.

death is unavoidable; feeling from the death of others is a part of it.

no, unfortunately not, i only had my digital back when i shot those. i'm sure they'd look fantastic on film... i'm waitin for an opportunity to go there back again, and i'll make sure to bring my film camera.

i love this series, cause of its originality , and really love the tittles

i think tho that your "symbol" could be smaller not interfiring with the image, like it alot anyways, reminds me a tatto!!
